A Welcoming Community
True North is a vibrant community of young adults aged 18 to 35 journeying together in faith, friendship and purpose. Based at St Monica’s Catholic Church in Moonee Ponds, we are a group of ordinary people seeking an extraordinary life rooted in Jesus.
Whether you are exploring your faith for the first time or deepening your walk with Christ, you are welcome here!
Our Events
At True North, we are all about creating meaningful spaces where young adults can grow in their faith, build deep and meaningful friendships and encounter Jesus in everyday life. Our events are shaped around formation, spirituality, evangelisation and community—and there is something for everyone, no matter where you are on your journey.

Faith Formation Nights
Designed to help you go deeper in your understanding of the Catholic faith. These nights feature engaging talks, Q&As, and small group discussions. Whether we are exploring Catholic teaching, prayer or big life questions, these nights are all about growing in faith.

Mass & Mingle
Once a month, we come together for Holy Mass as a community, followed by food, laughs and good conversation. It is a great way to meet new people, build friendships and centre our lives on Christ.

Dedicated time to step away from the busyness of life and reconnect with God. Through prayer, worship and community, our retreats are moments of personal and spiritual renewal.

Bible Study
A relaxed, fortnightly dive into Scripture. Together, we open the Word, reflect on how God is speaking into our lives, and discover how to apply His truth practically. Whether you’re brand new to the Bible or a seasoned reader, Bible Study is a space to ask questions, share insights, and grow in love for God’s Word.

Why We Exist
Every young person is called to strive for holiness and become saints in our ordinary lives. True North exists to help young adults navigate life with faith as their compass, pointing always to Christ, our True North. We want to foster a thriving community of young adults who journey together to grow closer to Christ and live purposefully and joyfully.
In a world full of noise and distraction, we seek to create a community that encourages dialogue and living out the faith with courage and conviction. Our mission is to awaken hearts to the truth of the Gospel and empower young people to live lives of love, service and holiness.
